Areas we serve # Notary on call in Dubai: home visit notary public services Our notary on call service brings a notary public to you: at home, in hospital or at your office anywhere in Dubai. It is for the person who must sign but cannot travel, such as a patient, an older parent, or a family with several signers in one place. We draft the document before the visit, so the notary public only has to check, read, witness and seal. Before you go ## What to have ready before the notary arrives * The document, already drafted in Arabic, or Arabic and English, and checked. A visit is not the time to discover a spelling mistake. * The signer's original ID, and the ID details of every other party. * Any supporting paper the document relies on, such as a title deed or a vehicle ownership certificate. * For a hospital: the ward, bed and visiting rules, and permission from the hospital if it needs one. * A table and good light, and a quiet room. The Dubai Courts decision on private notary fees, in force from 2 January 2026, sets AED 1,000 per trip outside the notary's place of work. * On the federal system, a notary may act outside the office for AED 200 per application for a Muslim woman in her waiting period, a person with a disability or a person too ill to attend, and AED 100 in approved emergencies. * The visit changes the place, not the rules. The notary still checks identity, capacity and consent, and reads the document out. * Remote attendance is another option for some documents, when the person can join a video session. * Our home visit service, with the document drafted before the visit, is priced on request. 01 ## Who can come to you Notarial acts in the UAE are done only by public notaries, private notaries and accredited UAE consuls. For a visit in Dubai, the route is a private notary. Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013 created the private notary, a person registered on a roll kept by Dubai Courts, and the Dubai Courts fee decision sets a fee for a trip outside the office. On the federal system the public notary also has narrow grounds to act outside the office, listed in the federal fee schedule: a Muslim woman within her waiting period, a person with a disability, a person too ill to appear, and emergencies approved by the department director. These are exceptions for people who cannot come, not a general home service. Questions ## What the notary checks at a visit A mobile notary visit is still a notarisation, so every check applies: 1 ### Identity The signer must show an original Emirates ID, passport or other official document. 2 ### Capacity The notary must be satisfied that the signer is legally able to sign. In a hospital this is the step that most often decides the visit. If the patient is sedated, confused or cannot communicate, the notary may not proceed. 3 ### Consent The notary makes sure the signer is acting by choice. Family members may be asked to step out. 4 ### Understanding The notary reads the document out and explains it, with an interpreter if needed. Plan the visit for a time of day when the signer is at their clearest, and tell the notary in advance about any hearing, sight or speech difficulty.
