When you search "notary office near me" in Dubai, you are really asking two things: where is the nearest counter that can seal my document, and how do I get my papers ready without crossing the city twice. The first answer is a Dubai Courts service point or a private notary office. The second is where we come in.

What "near me" means for notary work
For most errands, near means the shortest drive. For a notary, it also means the office that will accept your document. A counter five minutes away is no help if it does not take your type of document, and a DIFC notary is the wrong office for an onshore Dubai power of attorney, however close it is.
So we suggest a simple order. First, confirm which kind of office your document needs. Second, look for the nearest office of that kind. Third, check its timings on the official site on the day. If you do those three things, the nearest notary public office is usually the right one.

Private notary offices near you
Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013 lets private notaries, registered on a roll kept by Dubai Courts, carry out certain functions of the Government notary. Their offices are spread across Dubai, and they set their own appointment times. That often makes a private notary the nearest notary center for people in areas with no Dubai Courts point. Step by step
When you cannot come to us
Most people who find us through a "near me" search never need to visit Business Bay. The usual pattern is:
- You send a photo of the request you received (from an embassy, a school, a bank, an airline or an employer) by WhatsApp or email.
- We tell you which notary office it needs and give you a starting price.
- We draft the document and coordinate the Arabic translation, and send you a draft to read.
- We collect any originals from you by courier, if the document needs them.
- We book the notary appointment near you, or at the office your document needs.
- You attend and sign. We collect the signed document and deliver it back, or send it on for attestation.
Collection and delivery by courier start from AED 80. All service prices are starting prices and are negotiable. Government fees are paid on top, at cost, exactly as the authority charges them. We confirm your final price before you pay.
We will also tell you honestly when you do not need us, for example when the office near you can prepare a simple form on the spot.
When the notary comes to you
Some people cannot travel: a patient in hospital, an older parent at home, or a busy office that needs several signatures. Dubai private notaries can act outside their office. Under the Dubai Courts decision on private notary fees in force from 2 January 2026, the government fee is AED 1,000 per trip outside the notary's place of work. On the federal system, the fees for a notary acting outside the office are AED 200 or AED 100, but only for narrow cases such as illness, disability or approved emergencies.

Physical notary or remote: which is nearer?
For some documents the nearest notary is on your screen. Dubai Courts has offered virtual attendance as well as personal attendance for signature attestation on powers of attorney, and the Ministry of Justice runs the E-Notary System for the federal system. A remote session still checks your identity and your consent, just as a counter does. It suits people who are abroad, or who cannot leave home, when the document and the authority receiving it allow it.
A physical notary is still the simpler choice when the notary must see an original, when several people sign together, or when the authority abroad has not said it accepts an electronic notarisation. Tell us what the document is for and we will tell you which route it can take.

Before you go
- A child travel consent letter, when a child travels with one parent or without either.
- An NOC for a visa or for travel, often from an employer for a visit visa file.
- An affidavit of support, for a family member's visa or a consulate.
- A declaration of residency, for a bank, a school or an authority abroad.
"Commissioner of oaths near me"
Some people, especially from the UK, Canada and India, ask for a commissioner of oaths. In the UAE the same job, taking a sworn statement or an affidavit, is done by a notary. The DIFC Courts notary service also administers oaths and affidavits for DIFC matters. If your home country's form asks for a commissioner of oaths, check whether it accepts a UAE notary or needs your consulate instead. Looking for a cheap notary near you
Government notary fees are fixed by the official schedule, so a nearby office does not charge less for the notarial act itself. What changes the total is the preparation: whether you pay for drafting, translation and a second trip after a rejection. Before you leave home
- Your original Emirates ID, or passport if you are visiting.
- The document in Arabic, or in Arabic and English, with any legal translation.
- The other signers, or confirmation that they will attend.
- Any original the notary must see, such as a title deed or a birth certificate.
- The official timings for the office, checked on the day you go.

Can a notary come to my home or hospital?
Yes, a Dubai private notary can act outside the office. The Dubai Courts fee decision sets a government fee of AED 1,000 per trip for this. Our part, the preparation and booking, is priced on request.
Is there a notary office open near me now?
Hours change, so check the office's page on the Dubai Courts site, or call the private notary office directly. Our own opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Dubai time).
Can I get a document notarised near me without going to court?
Yes. A private notary office is an official route for many documents, and remote attendance is possible for some. The key is the signing before a notary; it does not have to happen in a court building.
Do I need to visit your office in Business Bay?
Usually not. We work by WhatsApp, email and courier, and you sign before the notary near you. You are welcome to visit if you prefer to hand over papers in person.
